The Bertoia Side Chair. After my parents and I visited the Swedish American Museum in Andersonville, Mom and I stopped into the secondhand shop a few doors down. I immediately fell in love with a set of four wire Bertoia Side Chairs, designed by sculptor Harry Bertoia in the 1950s. Even secondhand, the chairs were out of my price range, but I won’t rest until I find affordable mid-century chairs to go ‘round my kitchen table.
Well. I’ll rest, but I won’t buy any other chairs.
